Our Priorities
Atlanta Thrive identifies issues, builds campaigns, and pushes for solutions that improve schools. Our current priorities are:
ACCOUNTABILITY – SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 were on the ballot in 2025. All Board member elects will be sworn into office January 12, 2026.
TRANSPARENCY – SAFETY & SECURITY
APS has the largest school police force in Georgia, but families don’t know when or why incidents involve law enforcement. We’re pushing for clear policies to keep students safe and out of the justice system.
ACCOUNTABILITY -SPECIAL EDUCATION
Thousands of students with IEPs need better services. We pushed for an audit, and now we’re demanding a public dashboard to track progress.
Partnering for State Legislative Advocacy
Since 2018, Atlanta Thrive has worked with partners across Georgia to secure better funding and fairer policies for public schools.
We are growing our network of state advocacy partners to deepen our impact and efforts to secure quality education for children across Georgia.
