Facilities Planning - Fall 2025
The Comprehensive Facilities Plan (CLRFP), also called APS Forward 2040, is
Atlanta Public Schools’ long-term plan for school buildings and campuses.
School closures and mergers are coming. Get involved to help shape
the future of schools in APS.
Atlanta Board of Education Elections - November 4th
The Atlanta Board of Education elections are staggered. In 2025, even-numbered
districts and at-large seats were on the ballot. After the December 2 runoff, Atlanta has three new Board members and one re-elected member.
Special Education Audit Priorities - Ongoing
The Atlanta Public Schools audited SPED services across schools in the district.
In July 2024, the APS SPED Audit outlined eight priorities to be addressed to support
students receiving exceptional education services.
In January 2025, the Charter and Partner Schools SPED Audit outlined
an additional nine priorities to be addressed.
Student Outcomes Progress Monitoring - Ongoing
The Atlanta Board of Education set target goals for student progress
in literacy, numeracy, graduation, and career and college readiness.
